Fuckin' money grubber
So Roger Clemes signed a contract with the Yankees for one year. Prorated at 4.5 million dollars a month....4.5 MILLION (!). He says that he wanted to help out the team. yeah, it has nothing to do with the fact that its the yankees and the fact that the organization doesn't have a good farm system and just go out and buy players. Oh no, the Yankees can't have a down year, we can't have that, oh no.
I don't even think they'll make the playoffs, which would be awesome. That would be a great shake up. Baseball would be in an uproar. That is all that ESPN would report on, 'oh no, the Yankees aren't in the playoffs...the world is coming to an end!'
Speaking of ESPN, they totally fuck over the NHL. The NHL playoffs are so much better than the NBA playoffs. Basketball is too boring to watch. Hockey is a nonstop sport, with guys skating hardcore for a couple minutes at a time. Very little down time for them. Basketball on the other hand. Lets run down the court, foul someone and stand around.
