back, back again.

Back once more from a trip home. We had our wedding reception for our families to see us. It was wonderful! I got to see some old friends from college, and some family I hadn't seen in over a decade. It was a little odd having to be the center of attention, I'm not really all about that. The fact that people's schedules had to revolve around me (and Andrea) was great. People were starting to get anxious for food but we had to finish talking with everyone, so we made them wait, or rather I made them wait, a little bit. I wasn't wanting to rush around and miss some people. That is just the it was.

On a much sadder note, my Uncle Gary (my mom's brother) whom I hadn't seen since we took a trip out to California in the late 80s died about a week ago. My grandparents and Aunt Jean made it out there to see him before he died, but still, it was rough to see my mom and her sisters at the reception having that on their minds. Personally, and I know that this sounds horrible, I don't really feel anything. How can I? I only met him a handful of times.

But, it is good to be home. I have tomorrow off and then back to the grind. I really didn't miss work all that much this past week.
